Important Information
Home/School Communication
Your child will be bringing home schoolwork as well as important notes in their binder. This will be their daily communication folder. It will include your child's behavior information, along with any notes that need to be sent home immediately. Please include notes i.e. change of dismissal, etc. in this folder, as this will be a place I will check daily.
T.I.P (Thursday Important Papers) is sent home each Thursday. Important information from Austin, Austin P.T.A., and me are enclosed. Please look through the CLEAR folder carefully and return on Friday. Please do not place notes for me in the T.I.P folder. Place them in your child's binder. I do not check T.I.P folders regularly.
Tidbits
Snack/Water Bottles: Please send ONE small, healthy snack with your child each day. Snacks should be packed separate from their lunch. You may choose to bring a water bottle. If you do so, please label the bottle and make sure the bottle can close properly, as the water bottles will be placed where backpacks are located. NUT FREE CLASSROOM!!!
Morning: When dropping your child off in the morning, please drop him/her off at the front door of the school. He/she can then walk our classroom from there. This helps to build the student’s increasing responsibility and also allows for a smooth transition into the school day. Your cooperation on this matter is greatly appreciated.
Library: Students are allowed to check out TWO library books at a time.
Toys: Please keep these at home as they can be a huge distraction! Thank you for your help with this.
