Austin Students Win DCSD Art Awards

Congratulations to our Austin Art Stars! Hadley T. (3rd), Ben J. (5th) and Margaret M. (5th) were honored at the annual DCSD Art Star awards last week.

These students were nominated by Mrs. Kramer based on the following:

STAR ONE: Final Grade of 90 or above.
STAR TWO: Mastery of Skill or techniques observed.
STAR THREE: Community involvement in the ARTS (outside of school).
STAR FOUR: Demonstration of leadership/mentoring skills.
STAR FIVE: Dedication/Passion of Craft.

At the end of the ceremony, one student was chosen to represent each of the five Regions in the county and our own Margaret M. WON the Art Star for all Region 1 elementary schools.

What an honor! We are so proud of her and all our Art stars for their amazing work and dedication!
